Prince Harry excels in charity polo events in Miami

Prince Harry recently displayed his polo prowess in Miami at charitable events supporting Sentebale, a charity aiding young people in southern Africa. His efforts, accompanied by Meghan Markle, gathered significant attention and funds.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently made appearances at two polo events in Miami, Florida, both in support of Harry’s Sentebale charity. The couple attended the Royal Salute Polo Challenge, where they brought along a camera crew for their Netflix series centered on professional polo and the US Open Polo Championship. At this event, Harry, dressed in white trousers and a blue shirt, presented a confident demeanor alongside Meghan in a cream halterneck dress.

The main event, the Sentebale Polo Cup, saw Prince Harry displaying his polo skills by scoring the opening goal and leading his team to a 3-1 victory. Meghan supported from the sidelines in the same stylish attire. Harry’s prowess on the field was commended by fellow polo player Nacho Figueras, who praised him as a strong player and rider.

Sentebale, which Harry co-founded in 2006 with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, aims to assist young people affected by HIV, AIDS, and mental health issues in southern Africa. The charity, named after the Sesotho phrase for ‘forget-me-not’, symbolizes a commitment to remembering and supporting vulnerable children and communities.

Additionally, Prince Harry has shown gratitude towards artists like Yinka Shonibare, Nelson Makamo, and Camila Falquez, who donated their works to a Sotheby’s auction to raise funds for Sentebale. This auction, running online until April 25, is part of efforts to ensure sustainable futures for affected youth in Lesotho and Botswana.

Over the years, Sentebale polo events have successfully raised over £11.4 million, contributing significantly to the charity’s mission.
