A significant fire broke out at the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Solutions e-waste facility operated by Enva in Burnbrae Road, Linwood Industrial Estate, Renfrewshire, on the night of Sunday, June 23, 2024. The alarm was raised at 9:12 PM, prompting the deployment of 10 fire appliances to combat the blaze.

Local residents were initially advised to stay indoors with windows and doors shut.
