Rees-Zammit, aged 21, is currently adapting to the complexities of American football, likening learning the NFL playbook to mastering a new language.
Rees-Zammit recently compared his former rugby teammate, Dan Biggar, with NFL star Patrick Mahomes, noting similarities in their game reading and decision-making abilities. Biggar, aged 34, recently retired from international rugby following his participation in the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
Despite the exciting career move, Rees-Zammit has expressed feelings of homesickness, missing elements of his native Wales, including his family and local delicacies like Welsh cakes.
