King Charles resumes royal duties with Trooping the Colour and cancer centre visit

King Charles III will participate in the Trooping the Colour parade and visit a cancer treatment centre as he returns to public life following his cancer diagnosis.

King Charles is set to actively participate in this year’s Trooping the Colour parade in London on June 15, marking a symbolic return to his royal duties. According to a report from The Sun, he plans to ride on horseback during the ceremony, which features 1,400 officers and soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians. This decision, while not obligatory, mirrors the active roles taken by past monarchs including Queen Elizabeth II. Buckingham Palace has confirmed preparations for this event, ensuring safety protocols are in place.

Additionally, King Charles is resuming public appearances following his treatment for cancer. The King, who was diagnosed with cancer following a hospital procedure in January, will soon visit a cancer treatment centre with Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, to engage with specialists and patients. Supporting this, Kensington Palace released a statement indicating that while the King continues his recovery, his public schedule will be adapted based on medical advice.

In related royal activities, Prince William, the Prince of Wales, will engage in separate duties, including visiting an Earthshot Prize finalist in Seaham and inaugurating a new treatment centre in Newcastle. This facility is aimed at providing support for suicidal men.

These royal engagements highlight ongoing dedication to public service and health awareness, including contributions to cancer research and mental health.
